My work is heavily influenced by my studies and love of African art. African art and architecture have been the biggest influences over my work in all mediums, especially since I began working in fiber arts.

This new work in functional textile arts has given me more flexibility in my self expression.  My new work can be used as functional and useful in everyday living and/or be used as purely sculptural fiber art.

One can hang them on the wall, and when in need, take them down and use them – when done, hang them back on the wall.  What can be more beautiful and utilitarian than that?
